Rena Yokogawa
Founder / Executive Director
Tokyo, Japan
Rena joined a Global Health Internship in Malawi in 2022 and was inspired to co-found TIWACT after returning to Taiwan. Originally from Japan, she came to NTU to study sociology after being moved by Taiwan's support for Hong Kong. She loves dogs, food, and good conversation.

Morris Chiang
Program Design & Research Methods
Taipei, Taiwan
Morris has a background in biomedical engineering and focuses on technology for healthcare and education equity. He specializes in user needs analysis and design thinking in cross-cultural teams. He also enjoys guitar, traveling, and drawing inspiration from cultural exchange.

Jennifer Chen
Resource Development & Partnerships management
Taoyuan, Taiwan
Jennifer graduated in Political Science from National Taiwan University and is committed to education equity. She was inspired by her experiences in rural education and by visiting Malawian schools. For her, TIWACT is a platform that connects local and global efforts to support children’s learning.

Edward Kamanga
Program Monitoring & Evaluation
Mchengautuba, Mzuzu, Malawi
Edward is a student at Mzuzu University with a strong interest in data collection and analysis. He is skilled at turning complex numbers into clear insights that show the impact of the team’s work. He believes data is more than numbers—it is a tool to drive education and community development.

Blessings Chirambo
Co-founder / Local Operations
Mzuzu, Malawi
Blessings is the co-founder of TIWACT and comes from Mzuzu, Malawi. Inspired by the struggles of students at Chiputula Primary School, he founded TIWACT with Rena and other partners to promote education through collaboration. In his free time, he enjoys football, good food, and connecting with people.

Janet Shalom Mhango
Education Program Management

Janet is both a public health lecturer and a registered nurse, with strong skills in project management. She brings her professional expertise into education, believing that knowledge should support learning and community growth. Through TIWACT, she continues to transform her experience into meaningful educational action.

Ting-Yu Chou
International Cooperation & Resource Mobilization
Arizona, USA
Ting-Yu is a PhD student in Human Linguistics at the University of Arizona, passionate about cultural and linguistic diversity. She founded an education club in an indigenous community in Taiwan and studied abroad in Turkey. Through TIWACT, she hopes to deepen her understanding of Africa and expand her global perspective.

Victor Sato Nyangulu
Digital Media & Branding
Mzuzu, Malawi
Victor is a student at Mzuzu University, skilled in sketching and oil painting. In the team, he creates visual and multimedia materials, blending artistic vision with creative design. He is dedicated to shaping the organization’s brand image and bringing its stories to life.

Jasmine Lee
Financial management & Administration
Hsinchu, Taiwan
Jasmine is a sociology student who cares deeply about politics and social justice and often shares her own perspectives. She is curious about different cultures, with a particular love for traveling to Japan and observing popular culture. In her free time, she enjoys sharing small joys in life, like Chiikawa, showing both her thoughtful and playful side.

Caro is a student at Mzuzu University who began as a volunteer and grew into a core team member. She has extensive teaching experience and excels at guiding students in learning. She is also creative in designing new lesson plans that bring energy and innovation to the classroom.

Symon Mbeye
Youth Empowerment & Content Communications
Chiwanja, Mzuzu, Malawi
Symon is a student at Mzuzu University who is passionate about leading activities and engaging with children. He brings creativity and patience to create joyful atmospheres where kids feel included. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and composing music, often using music to connect with others.

Gift Sangano
Local Resources & Public Relations

Gift is a student at Mzuzu University with a background in Development Studies. He specializes in thematic analysis and has a strong interest in gathering resources for regional studies. Through his research, he provides valuable insights that strengthen the team’s projects.
